Upgrading my Laptop

Hi, I'm about to start my Information Systems & Technology degree, and I'm wondering if my current laptop setup is sufficient.

I currently have this laptop, https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B075FLBJV7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Acer Aspire E 15 Laptop, 15.6" Full HD, 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8250U, GeForce MX150, 8GB RAM Memory, 256GB SSD, E5-576G-5762

Edit: By "upgrade" , I'm really meaning memory, RAM, graphics, not necessarily getting a brand new laptop.

Only thing you can upgrade in that laptop is ram. Check your curriculum for the apps and workloads then check their recommended specifications then do the math.
