LG 27UL650 - Yes or No?

Jim, in Iowa

Hello, I'm leaning towards the LG 27 UL650, a 4K LED IPS panel with 60hz refresh rate, for gaming, photo editing, video editing. My rig is an overclocked i7-2600k with a GTX 1660 Ti.

I'm interested in opinions on this monitor, and what might be a better option. Although I play games, I'm not hard-core and 60 Hz is OK for me.

Bonus question, what separates the 650 from the 550? The specs are so close to each other I wonder if it matters.

Thanks for the help!

I highly doubt you will be able to do 4K 60FPS with a 1660 Ti.

Much better to get a 2K IPS.

Thanks for the input! What about running games at 1080 on a 4k monitor?

Definitely better,

although you’d be better off getting a 1080p gaming monitor which aren’t that expensive as native 1080p will look better than 1080p on a 4K screen.
