Alright guys, the time for locking this thread has come, can you all please use the Folding Community Board for all further talk.

Thank you all again for participating in the event.

Once the sheet is cleaned up I will edit this post to add the link to the spreadsheet.

@TVwazhere Can you please lock this thread for me.

@sanya567xxx this is that really awfully performing WU. makes the 2080ti whine like hell when nothing else does

the unit before this was running 3.6mppd. time to dump this WU.

image.png.bed48d6c69f1b291e58979604070f40a.png

The FAHClient will not reliably report the PPD of a WU until it is at least 1% in (finished a frame) and in some cases it will take 2 - 3 frames before the production settles down.

Be warned, if the FaH servers see you attempting to "game" the system and continually dumping WUs of one kind in favor of others they will ban your system. See: Regarding The Project and Work Units (WUs)

This is a bad practice as it delays completion of the projects.

Well at least now I know what software to recommend to test F@H stability

Quote

Folding@home often stresses hardware further than many popular stability testers, such as Prime95. For this reason, we recommend StressCPU. Since it’s based on Gromacs – the main software used for FAH’s calculations – it’s one of the most accurate stability tester for an overclocked machine aimed at stable folding.

The method for handing out the keys will be as follows, I will use googles random number generator, taking the first number given.

Once it has been decided the willing ranks will be announced in the Folding month blog(To be created) and each member will be tagged, you will then have 7 days to claim your prize.

If it is not claimed, the prize will be raffled again using the same process as above.

To claim the prize you must DM me within the given 7 days with the subject line 'Claiming prize'.

I was thinking that too, I'm pushing my system like anybody else but at the same time I can't just go out and buy 2080s.

Maybe award some points based on amount of time spent folding over the month, and more random prizes as well?

I was more talking about the team who are helping to run the event.

Also we only have the prizes that have been donated by the community. I can't just go out and acquire more, unfortunately I don't have the funds for such things

Well at least if you get the Titan X’s Aircoolers back on they’ll be ready for sale after the Folding Month is over.

Actually hoping to sell them with the blocks, backplates, air coolers, their boxes, and the terminal.  I keep having folks asking about the cards, but so far no one local has really went to a buy phase with me.  Had two individuals want to trade, but I was not interested in the items they wanted to trade for the cards.

Heck, one of my offers is to trade a card for a good air brush kit.  :I  Just seems no one has an air brush local to trade.

I'm still working on one prize for the event.  It will probably get done during the event, so there will be one late one to add to the pool of prizes.

Yeah uh, don't know what's wrong there. This is a laptop btw (it's plenty capable of cooling itself, don't worry about that), with an R5 3550H and GTX 1650 running the latest drivers, and latest install of Windows 10 Home.

Yeah uh, don't know what's wrong there. This is a laptop btw (it's plenty capable of cooling itself, don't worry about that), with an R5 3550H and GTX 1650 running the latest drivers, and latest install of Windows 10 Home.

What happens if you don’t manually specify gpu index and opencl index?

Im so disappointed. RMAing my new system tomorrow. It wont be back till the end of folding month. Some really weird motherboard behavior and some really weird glitches with linux, window 10, 8.1, and 7. It was actually folding on linux for awhile but then it stopped recognizing the gpu and it wasnt showing up on my hardware list even after driver reinstalls and even an os reinstall. Idk whats up with it but i have a sad. Rip my extra 1mil ppd. Gonna try to have my 980 and 1060 3gb going though

@sanya567xxx this is that really awfully performing WU. makes the 2080ti whine like hell when nothing else does

the unit before this was running 3.6mppd. time to dump this WU.

yea I just got a 14191 on my XOC one aswell, freaking 900k ppd???? and it takes 5.5 hours to complete for reward a 14180 gets in 4 hours (same freqs)? come on man, that's some shitty optimizations/rewards out there!

PPD estimates are just that, estimates. And different WUs have different kinds of calculations, your GPU might not as efficient on those as it is on others.

Hi guys,

I encountered error 10053 and 10054 overnight on my machine. I googled and only posts I could find date a while back already from older builds of F@H.

They mentioned it could be firewall related or antivirus but non of those seem to be the issue here.

WU's are still being completed and machine is folding, just wanted to see if anyone here knows more about those error codes
