Go to solution Solved by GOTSpectrum,

Alright guys, the time for locking this thread has come, can you all please use the Folding Community Board for all further talk.

Thank you all again for participating in the event.

Once the sheet is cleaned up I will edit this post to add the link to the spreadsheet.

@TVwazhere Can you please lock this thread for me.

Yes i have looked at this site a couple of times. but the super cards is not yet listed.

There is a huge gap between 2060 and 2070, so maybe the 2060s is closer to 2070 than 2060.

In the past it has seemed to me like folding performance more or less follows gaming performance, so I would bet you could interpolate with decent accuracy to figure the super cards out from the available data.

Yeah I'd like to see those show up in the list too, but I guess someone has to get one and test it first xD

As far as I know the Navi cards are not currently supported for F@H

Something to do with with the Open CL implementation, it's not currently on the GPU Whitelist due to it

It looks like they aren't supported in AMDs ROCm either.

So currently Navi cards don't have support for compute tasks?

At first I had hopes for AMDs open source drivers for linux. After trying to get opencl working few times I decided to switch. In casual gaming use I did not have issues with the drivers. My opinion currently is that AMD gpus are bad choice for folding with Linux.

Github Roc

It looks like you need linux kernel 5.3 to have support for Navi. That is for the device, not necessarily mean that compute works.

I know where FAHcontrol is in the systems tray, I just don't know where in FAHcontrol's advanced control I could stop the processor's under-utilization.

If you find the icon in the systems tray right click it and choose "advanced control" you will get a much more powerful control menu you can use.

Is there any reason in particular you are folding on medium?

I think this has to do with navi being a completely different architecture and approach to how amd is going to build graphics cards in the future and it will probably take a lot more time to implement compute tasks and performance.

I will likely end up on a Navi based GPU for gaming once I build up my next gaming rig, though there's certainly time for team green to make use of their 7nm partnerships and come out with something great.  Hopefully by then (probably another year or so), there will also be full driver and software support in most everything for the new architecture.  Even with today's games running on Navi, performance is at least slightly hampered as the Navi cards are basically running in a way to more closely emulate the prior GCD architecture and not require everybody to re-write everything.  The way they process data is very different.

There is a huge gap between 2060 and 2070, so maybe the 2060s is closer to 2070 than 2060.

The Overclockers.net summary sheet is very skewed. The maintainer used to also show the raw data for various cards which was much more useful as it showed the OS, WU and Shader Clock Speed.

The 2070 Data is mostly from Data I submitted running the 2070 hard and under Linux so compared to their other results is higher than average.

The 2060 Card Data is low. My EVGA RTX 2060 XC Ultra averaged about 1.1MPPD over a month running at 100% power and a 65MHz Shader Clock offset.

The best indication I found was to use the FAHBench Single Precision Compute results from AnandTech’s Bench Results but unfortunately they seem to have dropped FAHBench from the 2019 suite but are considering retesting with it.

@Gorgon Have their been any reported issue of the client being suuuuuuuper inaccurate about PPD? Or are these WUs just terrible? Haven't been paying much attention, but now that I just finished this rig, I wanted to get it up and running. That just doesn't seem right. It's been like this all day.

The clients are not showing QRB correctly for some WUs, or at least they weren't. I don't think it's been resolved yet

As others have mentioned currently OpenCL is broken for Navi and RDNA in general. AMD has to add the OpenCL support to their drivers and Navi based cards will be useless until this is done.

I'm still getting over the fact that the smaller, less fanned 4U build is getting better GPU temps than the HAF XB.

So everything is catching me off guard lately.
