@shaz2sxy I was getting a little concerned about your final push.  Glad to see you didn't quite get me.  19th place has been pretty comfortable for me after the first week or so.

I just finished my last 2 WU's on my 2060Super and AXRX590 and it's so cold and quiet here now. It gets too cold this winter, i'll have to start folding again... Especially if it eases up on the gas bill...

Not bad, 213 pages of posts on the forum to go with our epic climb in folding points.  :)

Dang, while I wasn't looking a lot of the prizes got clamped down to only the top 100, which I'll never make it into.  :(

Yeah I must admit when I saw that, I thought surely that goes against the spirit of the event. For me at least, it seems like the emphasis should be on the number of people involved, rather than just big production numbers amongst the top producers (not that those people aren't amazing :) ).

And anyone with an average gaming machine/GPU who commits to the event, should be in contention for at least the majority of the prize opportunities. These events should be about encouraging more people to take up folding, and maybe those people will go on to become some of the higher producers down the line.

I'd have to agree with you.  Problem is the prizes are donated and I think the donors decide how they're given out.  Luckily the big LTT prizes don't have those restrictions.

So as my balance is running low, need to close down 2 servers.

I followed what you guys advised to me and this so the ‘reaction’ ubuntu gives me.

does this seem correct?

After you give the command you can type "tail /var/lib/fahclient/log.txt" that should give you an info if they are all finishing. Also, if that is cherry, be careful that your top up is not set up. And if it is GCP (which I think it is not as that looks like powershell) you will have to disable billing and delete the VM to stop them from billing you extra.

It is Cherry servers, auto top up ive switched off. Just don’t want too many WU’s stopping halfway.

How can I get slots to start folding again? Ran ahead of myself, and have balance left to burn.

I tried the always_on slot command, but alas, still stopped folding.

Use "FAHClient --send-command help", you should find the command there. If you cannot find it. Just reboot the VM, that should start folding again I think. Also, after every command, use "tail /var/lib/fahclient/log.txt" just to be sure that command was registered.

Yeah I did the ‘help’ command and used the always_on command. Doesn’t do much. I’ll use ‘sudo reboot’ for restart then

I left my GPUs running for this task.  When I went to bed it said 3 AM ET, so they are fighting us.

Yeah, well, they ain't fighting good enough. In 3 hour window we got ~ 40,000,000 more than them. And we only need 24,957,741 until we overtake them. ?

Well that's the CPU Folding stopped and all cards power limited, 20-25% less power for 10% less clocks. Sounds fair to me

welp, that's folding month for me! gotta say i'm damn pleased with that 23rd spot considering it was all done on my own compute power! no external servers hired or something like that.

now it's time for the main rig to take a break, and the server to crunch some BOINC. already excited for next year's event!
