I couldn't overclock because my PPD decreased to less than 11k, but I tried to rise max temp + voltage + power and temperature target to maximun and my PPD increased from 80k to almost 94k, and if I left some more time it would increase even more, also I was able to overclock my memory, but when I put it to +496 MHz FAH just crashed (Error downloading array energyBuffer: clEnqueueReadBuffer (-5) and BAD_WORK_UNIT (114 = 0x72)), but anyway, I won't force my GPU to these pretty high temperatures

You can also look up points and history over at XOC. Just use the name search option on the left panel to search for your name. https://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/team_summary.php?s=&t=223518

If you're using CPU folding you can change the number of threads the CPU is allowed to use through the advanced control. What is your PC hardware that you're using?

Looks like it is trying to refresh to try and connect and load the data from your client. Not entirely sure what is going on, maybe @GOTSpectrum knows a fix.

Im using a Ryzen 1800x, 16gb of ram, and a 1080. (on my main rig)

also for some reason neither of my rigs want to start using their graphics cards to fold

When you overclock you GPU too much, you get graphic glitches in games. With folding you get errors but those mess up calculations and you lose that part of the work and need to redo it. That shows as lower ppd and errors in the logs.

EDIT:

Like last time this is endurance event, find balance between power consumption(heat, fan noise) and performance(PPD). Getting slightly lower PPD but running steadily for the event will be much better that going max OC and having downtime due errors and crashes.

I've been having issues with running F@H client and folding as well on one computer.

I tried DDU-ing everything, tried reinstalling client but still the same symptoms are occurring. Sometimes I cannot even run the F@H client(doesn't matter if I start it normally or as administrator) and even when I succeed in opening it, there are a few things that are not working properly...

1. Expert settings (cannot remove the "open-web-client" flag but can add other flags which end up saved).

2. As soon as I start folding, GPU jumps to normal core clock and the in next 2-3 seconds it drops by 200 on CC and then BSOD every time. I've also tried watching temperature and it is idle-ing around 35-45 °C and as soon as it starts folding it jumps to 60 °C and then the BSOD comes.

GPU is ASUS RX 580 8gb DUAL OC and it doesn't have modded BIOS and no overclock is applied. 1360/2000 is default.

I am using newest driver for GPU: 19.8.1

OS is updated to newest version.

CPU is Intel Celeron G3900@ 2.8GHz(previously used for mining on this motherboard)

Motherboard is: Gigabyte H110-D3A

Using 8GB of some low-end RAM

I haven't had this kind of problem so far. My main computer is running normally with 1080 Ti, so I would like to hear your insights or suggestions on possible fix.

You just need to copy and paste it into the client (in the 'configure' menu).

I actually don't have any amd gpu's so definitely no expert on that part. but you said this was originally a mining rig. Are you using a 1x to 16x adapter? also what setting are your slots in (I know a lot of mining boards default to gen1 or gen1 pcie for compatibility and stability) mind you FAH uses a lot of bandwidth to talk back and forth between gpu and cpu so make sure you are on the highest bandwidth connection you can be on. And try disabling folding on the cpu if you haven't yet not much to be gained from folding on a celeron even if you could.

Also when you get a chance see if you can check the folding logs and see what they say also what is the BSOD error?

Yeah, I know that F@H uses a lot of bandwidth, and it is impossible to fold with adapter. I mounted that motherboard inside an old case and GPU is directly connected to x16 slot.

Already disabled folding on CPU as even on my i7 8700k 4.5GHz it is not of much use.

I am not sure what settings it is, but I will check it, what gen should it be, gen3?

Where exactly can I check the logs? Tried finding them but unsuccessfully.

I wonder how much more the team’s PPD will increase once the 10 WU barrier is overcome by more and more of the new folders...

Edit: 1000 active users means we also have the 2nd highest count of active users out of all teams!
