MSI Afterburner cannot control fan speed

so uhh.. Ive been playing games all night and morning, and ive just now noticed that the fans on my GPU arent spinning. This is a brand new GPU, a 2070 Super Gigabyte Windforce OC 8G, and MSI afterburner cant control the fan speed on it. any suggestions?image.png.e102937b00b740b49a350364c238785c.png

I installed the drivers for it from gigabytes website

Fans should be in [auto-user defined] fan speed curve.

What? no DDU in safe mode and install the latest drivers from nVidia fresh new.
