One of the things I actually had to look up on today and probably some consumers will get confused about is motherboard power phases. Is more better for OCing or are there other factors at play here?

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

How about a quick overview on Logic Gates, or analog vs digital computing. Maybe even what a bit is or different number systems like Binary, Octal, Hexadecimal, or Binary encoded deciaml

Intel "tick" vs "tock" . Chip archatecture. How a change in archetacture and a lowering of clock speed can still improve performance. Or intel vs AMD why if they have the same specs they have different performance

(Micro)architecture is something I'd really like to see in a techquickie.  I've heard of the Maxwell architecture before, and I'd like to know more about previous and upcoming ones.

I know this was covered a while ago in a video but what about cloning / upgrading to an ssd?

I'm experienced but even I had a few questions on the cloning process / software....So I know non tech people will have questions and turn to youtube / vessel.

It could be as simple as

  • Get new SSD
  • Download Cloning software
  • Clone to new drive
  • Shut off computer
  • Unplug old drive

Just something as simple as that

Thanks!

Chris R.

I think monitor Look Up Tables (LUT) , gamma corrections and like everything about monitor calibration would be good. All that stuff gets confusing to me.

How about an episode on rack-mount case slider mounts?

Can Anybody Link A Virtual Machine while I go download some RAM?

The old thread in the vBulletin forum got lost in the migration (don't worry I still have access to it and I'll still look at it) so I'm creating a new one.

Guidelines

 1. Video should be possible to watch in 1-2 minutes.
 2. No elaborate props. If we can't shoot it in the white box with a couple of demonstrative pieces, it's probably not feasible.
 3. Keep it simple! The idea here is to simplify computer concepts to the point where your mom can understand it. Not looking for "how to peel the ramspreaders off your memory"

I will read these suggestions, but I may not reply to this thread very often. That doesn't mean I'm not paying attention, it just means I'm busy creating lots of new video content

If you haven't heard of Tech Quickie, it's another YouTube channel we run for paid content and the ever-popular "Fast As Possible" series.
