Shopping For A New iPad Mini 2 Motherboard

So, I came across a seller on Taobao selling iPad Mini 2 motherboards for quite cheap, but nowhere does it say if the boards work or not on the english site. I can't read chinese, but maybe it says somewhere? Does it? The only other cost effective way to get one of these boards so I have found is buying an iPad Mini 2 with a bad display, which isn't an issue as i have a good LCD. Anyways, anybody care to shed some light?

That... sounds like a bad idea.

 

Provided the board works (the Chinese site isn't any clearer), you'd almost certainly have to pay for shipping to the US and hope it reaches you both intact and in a timely fashion.  It might not be that cheap by the time it reaches your door.

 

Personally, I'd rather hunt down either a broken local unit with a good board or else look for a fully functional used/refurbished example.  It's not worth saving a bit of money only to introduce more headaches.

Thats about what I figured... I have a few sources floating around for working units with faulty screens.
