AMD 2700 Won't hit 4.1 boost

Recommended Posts

I reset everything to stock except ram overclocked to 3200mhz as thats what the ram is supposed to be at. But I never see any cores hit the 4.1Ghz. I understand all cores won't hit that at stock 4.1 but atleast one should right? When monitoring all cores during stress test, they all just stay around 32-33.5 multiplier.

Am I missing something?

Well you could just run it at 4.1 all cores (manual OC)

On your power plan, set to balanced (ryzen or windows) go to advanced settings, set minimum processor state to 20%. You should see 2 cores hitting 4,1 now. I have a friend with Asrock motherboard and he had to turn on ryzen cool n quiet in bios. I didnt have to do it on my asus motherboards

Not able to hit 4.1 stable unless I really crank the voltage. Most I can get is 4.05Ghz on 1.39. Don't want the extra heat, not worth it.

Never tried theat, just did.

I'm on an Asus board, is it different than Asus Cool n quiet?

Oh damn, yeah I’m achieving it with 1.35 but have a X version

I spent the extra money I saved towards my 2080.

I can hit 3.9 or 4.0 on all auto settings though.

Its just that I didnt find that option on Asus boards, I guess they are always enabled. 😂

Weird that you still cant hit 4.1 on all auto setting even when lowering the minimum processor state. Because I could hit max boost cores with just that. Whats your mobo? Im on B450 strix F

Can I forcibly make only one core boost to test this?

The single core Cinebench test will do the trick.

Asus x470 Prime

I'm able to hit 4.0 stable on 1.31V, but for some reason 4.05 and 4.1 just take such a huge jump in voltage to get it. Silicon lotter FTL
