netflix The Awful state of Dolby HDR Content on Netflix

Has anyone else noticed how truly awful HDR content looks on Netflix. Just watch anything with dark scenes and you'll see black level raised quite high when it should be dark along with over saturated colour so saturated that it's ether red, green or blue. It seems that I'm not alone here and that Sony TV owners are experiencing the same issues, even with very high end TV's. https://community.sony.co.uk/t5/android-tv/awful-hdr-quality-in-netflix/td-p/2306850

Some folks say that turning on subtitles with yellow background fixed this (Not sure how). I have the last low budget LG TV that has 3D. (In fact I have 2 of them, a 65" and a 49" model) As I'm a fan of 3D movies. I'm very discussed that 3D was pushed out of the way for Crap-Picture-O-Vision.

The solution I have to fix this is to use an Nvidia Shield and run Netflix on that. I should also add that UHD BD material does not have this problem, but I'm not sure if the TV is supposed to bring up the Dolby Vision logo on screen or if the BD player deals with that and just sends 10bit video to the set up the HDMI cable.
