Am I the only one that thinks it is absurd to compare a pricing screw-up at amazon to the issues faced by aboriginals when the Europeans first arrived in North America?

Umm we don't call them aboriginals.  We call them Native Americans.  Australia has Aboriginals though.

The word just means original inhabitants if I remember correctly. So while Australia has adopted it in mainstream usage, it’s equally true for any native people including in a Canada, the US, islands etc
