Windows 10 Start menu programs locations

Rheostat.

Why do I have 2 directory's for programs for my start menu ? 

  • C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
  • C:\Users\MyPCAccount\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

The one that doesn't point directly to your user account. (C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs)

No. All you can do is do move the shortcuts from either folder to the other one.
