Types of SATA Cables? Which I need for 2.5" SSDs?

How to identify which SATA cables do I have? How many types of cables are there? And which one do I need for best performance? I have the red ones btw.

I wanna buy one of these two below, any suggestions? 200 gigs are enough for C I guess.

The first one would require a Sata 3 cable and of course, a sata power cable from your PSU.

the second one requires no cables and plugs directly into your motherboard. If you have an M.2 slot of your motherboard, this one makes more sense.

I got a ps5 and a pc pretty ballin

There are only two types of SATA cables, the bigger one connects to the PSU for delivering power and the smaller other connects to the motherboard or expansion card for sending signals. Color doesn't tell much.

Why? It's cheap and seems good.

Which one should I get, the m.2 costs more than the 2.5inch A400

As long as you have an m.2 slot on your motherboard, I’d go with the SX6000 Lite M.2 like @Jurrunio said.

Buy this.  Crucial MX500 in M.2...you don't use NVMe speeds and Crucial MX500 is a solid drive.

Identifying SATA data cables as SATA 2.0 or SATA 3.0 is pure marketing BS to get you to buy cables you don't need. All SATA data cables made in the past fifteen years are capable of supporting SATA 3.0 speeds. Any SATA data cable you can buy now will be able to handle SATA 3.0.

The same is true tor any SATA power cable you can find. Most, if not all, PSUs come with SATA power cables. Most motherboards come with SATA data cables that will work just fine if they are long enough.

I personally prefer and recommend the Samsung 860 Pro and EVO series of 2.5" SATA SSDs (stay away from the QLC SSDs of any brand, such as the Samsung QVOs; they have issues that crop up as they approach arounbd 50% full or you work them hard) but the Crucial MX500 series has a pretty good reputation and is a good choice for people on a budget.

That Was really helpful man, I think I'll go with the M.2 cuz there's no hassle of cables anyway or mounting it.
