You don't need a $900 board even for a 3950X. The Ram also makes no sense. Just get a 3200 kit and overclock it, unless you can find a 3600 for the same price.

You may want to actually do research into what you need and what does what.  Motherboards have a minimal level, after which they bring no more value.  

 

3950X?  16 core, 32 threads?  What kind of programming do you do?

If you can live with the AMD blower cooler then you should be looking at the RX 5700 XT over the Vega 64.

Not unless you can get it for the same price as 3000 - 3200. You can just overclock the ram.

A 3200mhz cl16 kit WONT do 3600mhz cl16 with reasonable voltage. It would struggle to do 3600mhz all together and if its able to do 3600mhz the timings would be at least 18-22-22-34.

Who cares about CL16 ? You are looking at $268 for the cheapest 3600 CL16 kit.

I'm going to use 2700x for now, but planning on getting the 3900x or 3950x when on sale.

Get a good B450 board, they've been shown to work fine with 3900X.

 

3950X?  You need all 16c/32t?  Get the Master then.
