Sapphire Pulse Vega 56

another_member

Hello all,

I was wondering how good the cooler on the Sapphire Pulse RX Vega56 is, and if it would be worth getting an NZXT Kraken G12 or similar and a 240mm AIO to cool it? This would not be part of the system when I build it, it would be an upgrade for some point in the future. What do you think? Could you reccomend an AIO? No RGB nescessary. Great fans also not nescessary, as I will be replacing those anyway.

Thanks,

why the aio even?

and iirc the g12 doesn't fit natively

I thought the point of the g12 was so that yu could mount an aio onto your gpu.

yes, but the g12 doesn't fit natively on a vega

so you'll have to get your drill out

and I'm not even sure if you would need one

Not sure about the AIO but I've got the card and happy with it.  I haven't really OC'd so can't comment on how it handles that.  I up the fan curve so it sticks around 55C when gaming.   I think the design is pretty good having the half backblate and exposed heat sink.
