PC Randomly powering down during CSGO

DobertRownySr

Okay, so I just bought a new RTX 2080Ti and I have been benchmarking it.

It runs heaven, 3d Mark, GTA 5, Space Hulk, etc all fine with no issues. I even left the heaven benchmark running for over 3 hours at max settings 4k.

However, when I play CSGO and launch a match it crashes after about a minute or two, completely powering off my PC and restarting.

I'm not sure if it's a power supply issue or what, but I'm using a ThermalTake RGB 750W.

in General, Check your:

  • Heatsinks
  • Temperatures
  • watercooling ( If any)
  • Fans
  • PSU wattage

and report us back if possible.

EDIT: Possably drawing lots of power from the GPU you put in

GPU Temp was below 57C
Highest core temp on CPU was 70C on core 1, all other cores were below 60C

My PSU Wattage is 750w.

I also reinstalled CSGO and installed the latest Nvidia drivers after a DDU from the newest DDU version.

According to this: might be a power issue idk for sure.... please check your power wattage.

750W PSU is more than enough in your case. 2080Ti takes max 330W, unless you wanna go custom BIOS then it may takes around 400W. So you will be good with your current PSU.

I was thinking it might be a PSU issue, but it doesn't make much sense because CSGO is such a ez game to run and far more demanding games don't cause the issue.

I'll probably head to Micro center and buy a new one just to make sure.
