ASrock Z97 NVME Booting

This might be a stupid question, but can the ASrock Fat1ity Z97X Killer boot from an NVME ssd in a pcie slot?

Instructions for frustration management:  

1) Sit at desk.   2) Repeatedly slam forehead against desk.

I don't think so, most Z97 boards can't natively afaik. I remember there being some guide to making this work on the forum though so take a look around and see if you can find it if you care.

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

I know with a BIOS update it supports NVME but I am not sure about booting. I will look further, it's been three days and they have not gotten back to me.

@Bananasplit_00, I called ASrock just for $hits and giggles. They did say it will boot from a pcie slot. Just thought I'd pass that info on.

Shit I can’t even install windows onto my nvme. About to sell the thing.

Is it on your main rig? If it's a z97 you might need to update the bios.
