The fact of the matter is the information that is likely true on this was already known from previous leaks or information.

Yeah the above thread from back in March was an early preview, basically into what we are seeing today (at least further confirming the 10c20t part).

Really want to see 6Ghz or just go home Intel, AMD is doing the more cores thing.

Intel did the high clock thing. they've really hit the 5Ghz ceiling and just stopped..

Where's the KFC model? I want my CPU + Chicken Bundle Intel!

What about the model that has suffixes with...

• No integrated graphics (found on the 9th-gen LGA 1151 series)

• 15W TDP (on a lot of mobile / laptop chips with that TDP)

• Level 4 DRAM Cache (Broadwell desktop LGA 1150 CPUs had this)

• Unlocked multiplier (but not "extreme edition")

:D

(Maybe the first 2 would suffice as well.)

If they are going to be monolithic still...I think AMD might actually end up having higher profit margins than Intel. Despite their current pricing.

The article can't even read their own graphics lmfao. This all sounds like absolut bullshit anyway

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Intel pricing things cheaply? Surely not, couldn't be! I'm not having it. And they can put 105w all they want...it doesn't matter what they say, that 10c at 5.2ghz is going to consume more power than my fx 9590 does.

Surely every chip must be able to be air cooled. How can a 5.2ghz 14nm 10c part be air cooled? I imagine even the mighty Noctua NH D15 has got a task on it's hands cooling that thing.

Also, why would you have so many different versions of the same chip? There's 3 10 core cpu's there. And one of them only has a 2.7ghz base..this all seems a bit fishy to me. And..why not just release a 10 core based on Coffee Lake refresh, decrease the price of the 9900k and put the 10c on par on price with the 3900x. Surely that makes so much more sense than this. We're basically getting 3% better IPC as usual with a 10c slapped on.

2.7ghz base, 5.2ghz boost..very suspicious..

I welcome the prices if true though. The 6 core looks tasty (Although the power consumption doesn't)

Why people keep saying things like "3%" IPC boost on Intel for every release. There never was any IPC boost for like last 4 generations. They were just raising the clocks. That's not IPC improvement at all. IPC boost is when clocks don't change, but performance does.

Intel was able to find some Cache improvements from each iteration of Skylake, but it's only ever effected a small number of tasks. More responsive boosting has been the way they've gotten most of their improvements between Skylake iterations.

As for the leak, we know a 10c is coming, but that list looks wrong. Intel would have to throw away too many chips if they ran out that many non-HT parts.

That's about as fast as Ryzen 5 2500U... And I still can't get over how stupid naming scheme has become for Intel. It's an absolute mess compared to clean SKU's by AMD. Intel should really change the naming scheme at this point. Almost every company always has when they reached 10 iterations within same series unless the name is simple to begin with (two digit model name).
