Posted July 6, 2019 Hi there, I want to be able to remotely wake on lan my PC from my laptop, from a different network like e.g. my phone's 4G hotspot. Is this possible? I managed to config my router so that I can remote in with my phone network but I can't wake the PC. Any suggestions? Posted July 6, 2019 You need to make sure you only put the PC to sleep. Often a router will have a WOL option you can switch. If not forward port 9. Port 7 is for WOL, port 9 for WOW - Wake on WAN. The one I suggested earlier works but only on local network. Everything is configured, and the forwarding in the router also. Wake on LAN is obviously enabled in the BIOS. By default too.
