How to set up a wired JBOD box without any os or mobo?

How can you create an external JBOD (just a bunch of disks) enclosure that can show up in windows as external hard drives using internal hard drives, without any NAS or dedicated enclosure?

Instead to build the smallest pc case you can find that will fit as many hard drives as you want?

And to have one cable plugging them all in so they can be accessed by another computer?

Or if not just a single, then how to handle plugging in multiple externally to the system?

Purpose is to build a tiny pc to replace my current normal size pc, but to have a box for the drives to be external to the pc while being able to be easily plugged/unplugged from the system.

You already received your answer from several people in the other thread you posted. In sort, despite what you think, you can't. Period.

One has to be proactive, not reactive, to ensure the safety of one's data so backup your data! And RAID is NOT a backup!
