Best 240/360mm AIO for Ryzen 5 2400G

For a 2400g?  I would get the cheapest, efficient air cooler and put any extra money into the rest of my system (GPU!).  

 

I have a L9a cooling my ryzen 2600, and it does it very quietly, and very well.  Honestly the hyper 212 evo should easily cool a 2400g.

gammaxx 400 for noise/performance, easily bests the 212 evo in that region, and it,s cheaper too

I got the Ryzen 2400G which i a'm trowing away pretty soon with a Be Quiet Slim on it and temps went down to about 65-70C under stress load. Id suggest you think about a good air cooling solution but i dont want to steer the sh*t pot. NZXT make a very good AIO, Cooler Master as the Masterliquid series that make a very good job for the price. If you really want to cool it down a fair bit, you will have to delid it.

I've noticed that in UEFI settings the default voltage was set way too high for my 2400g at stock speeds (1.4 v, I believe) causing it to get warmer than I was comfortable with. I lowered it to 1.25 v (if I remember correctly) and temps went down a good 10 degrees C. I even have all cores overclocked right now and am still under 1.4 volts and it rarely sees anything above 70 degrees C even with it only being air cooled.

Do you use the GPU Core, I'm using a static 3.85GHZ with about 1.3 volts, I'm getting 70C on benchmarks but usually se around 50 when gaming with a RX 580 on top of that. If you can use negative voltage offset that would be even better with clock speed set to auto. You should turn off C State and Cool and Quiet in the BIOS if its unstable at 1.25 with a static OC, but if clockspeed is set to auto it wont boost because of the static 1.25 volts.

Any AIO will be overkill for that CPU.  I used to run a 240mm on a R7 1700 was overkill till extreme OC.  I currently run one of my other R7 1700s with a 120mm AIO and its overkill (OC moderate at 3.8ghz all core, never get above 60c with rad in push pull exhaust). 

 

So the cheapest AIO (all pumps are asetek) is what I would recommend.  An on sale CM Lite 120 etc.

My point was just that you should be able to cool that CPU with a super cheap option

The EVO 212 will get the job done for cheap, better then most sub 80$ AIOs in my opinion. Most people want AIOs just cause.... but the truth is air cooling is as good as most high end AIOs for half the price, but you need a minimum of air flow.

Ya people just like different looks, and that it all good.  Some people love the look of an AIO.  I personally do not like the two big tubes slanging across my case.  But to that same note, AIO lovers probably dont like a big honkin block looking like a blower on a muscle car over top their CPU.  Also it's kinda in the way of the RAM.  I can see both sides for sure.

What Velcade said is also true - Enermax don't use any Asetek technology..

 

It's a common misconception that ALL pumps are Asetek, when in fact we do not make anything close to all pumps. There are plenty of products out there, similar to our design

In many cases, the MasterLiquid ML240L is a great value. Especially since Cooler Master makes relatively inexpensive and very nice looking cases that come with matching RGB fans. 

This unit cools better than the need will arise with a 2400G.

If you wanted to try out performance air cooling (Your budget would thank you, and they are pretty dang good these days) AND wanna keep RGB sex appeal, you could certainly have a look at this guy:

It's a pretty solid unit, though a few decibels higher than say a Dark Rock Pro 4, which I'd consider pretty top of the line air cooling. It's solid black though. (Both very quiet and very good cooling.) Note that this unit is a dual tower and stands tall. So some cases won't fit this model.

 

It's also a touch quieter than both AIOs listed above...
