Hi guys, well, i'm using windows 10 currently version 1809 with latest cumulative updates, but i feel myself facing many troubles that i cannot specify its reason exactly, if it is a hardware problem or some windows problem (Don't wanna talk about any details now).

Here i need someone that has a big experience with all versions of windows 10, to tell me what is the most stable version for windows 10 since the 1st launch till this moment? also if possible, need the most stable version with the least consumption of memory.

HINT: I mean by stable version that has less issues or less problems or whatever you call.

Some friends told me to try 1607, but i'm asking again for more suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

Maybe try windows 10 version 1709 or 1803

as far as I know my college deployed windows 10 1709 in their IT Labs

For my laptop I’m using windows 10 1903 and windows 8.1, somehow I’m noticing windows 8.1 is faster than windows 10 (even if turbo boost faster in windows 8.1 by around 0.1x ghz )

Actually i tried this before, but my current motherboard does not support windows 7, however i'm not sure from that, it gets some errors during installation, while i'm not sure for the reason of this, because my motherboard manual is saying support for windows 10 only, and also not sure if there's some hardware problem preventing me from that, but what's currently i'm sure from that windows 10 is getting installed successfully every time i try it.

About GNU/Linux, didn't try any of these before, and don't wanna try for now cuz i have no experience about.

That's why i'm asking for more stable version of windows 10, with less issues and less consumption of memory, what do you think?

Windows 10 is basically trash and we all just have to live with it

I don't know if a Windows 10 GO installation would change anything, not sure it can even be installed like normal windows 10.

Depending on what software you need to use Linux might be fine though.

Well, I totally agree that windows 10 is a BIG TRASH, however, i'm suffering from some problems right now and need to specify its reason accurately away from windows 10 troubles, however, i still have to try 10 and only 10 for now, that's why i'm asking for the most stable version that i should try.

Do a clean install properly and you shouldn't have any problems with whatever version you choose.

So just use the latest one.

Actually i tried this before like 3 times but with windows 10 version 1809 only (was the latest when i tried this) and still showing same problems also.

I heard that version 1809 specifically, has so many issues, that's why i asked for a most stable one among all other versions.

I will not try the latest one 1903 cuz its still new and surely not stable and expected issues still did not present.

SO AGAIN, what do you think??

I think you're either clean installing wrong or you have a hardware issue.

OK GREAT, but we're talking about some version of windows 10 (1809) that some users are suffering from issues in it, clean install here won't help if the version itself are fucked up (sorry for this word), and i already tried this many times.

That's why i'm asking for more stable one to specify the real problem i'm suffering from if its windows problem or hardware problem, but i will not try 1809 again or the newest one 1903 as its still new.

Sorry for saying this but PLEASE PLEASE no more waste of time, if you have a suggestion regarding the most stable version with less memory consumption, then i will be so appreciated.

I think I had the least amount of issues with 1803 or even 1709. 1809 was also OK in my case. I'm on 1903 now, but my PC has some issues (hardware related I think) and it's probably not due to Windows.

OK thanks for your perspective, although i didn't want to share this here, but lemme ask you some stuff:

Are you getting crashes in Apps, Gaming?? because this is my current issue i'm facing right now, i heard also some other people, are facing this especially with version 1809.

I'm not sure for myself if this is hardware issue or windows issue, that's why i was asking for the most stable version of windows 10.

No, not really. I do get crashes, but not under load.

I get Windows Notifications that AMD Wattman has crashed (like when the display driver resets although the driver doesn't reset) and occasional black screens, especially after waking from sleep. The issues one gets from a broken graphics card, but the graphics card seems to work fine in other systems.

1803 or 1903. But if we're talking about stability then it all depends on your hardware, not system itself. I never had any stability problems with any version of win10. 1809 had few bugs, but they affect very specific software.
