If my Arctis 7 is any indication, the Arctis 3 would probably be a banger. Only thing I had to do to mine to make it sound crispy was set the mic's quality in windows to CD quality.

I generally wouldn't recommend any headsets, but for that price maybe the HyperX Clouds. They sound ok, a step below a pair of Jaybirds but above Apple earbuds.

For just 'phone-calls' I would advice similar to this. Much lighter and can walk/sit around with it all day no problem.
Else just get a good gaming headset. Just know they are much heavier, and can be in the way when doing other things.
