I am bottlenecked?

I just build my first PC and I am wondering if my system will experience significant bottlenecking.  I spend only small amounts of time playing games. I mostly use this PC for watching videos on netflix and youtube.

My system:

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600

GPU: GeForce GT 1030 2GB GDDR5

Monitor: 1440p 60hz Dell S2719dm

RAM: 8GB ddr4 2133hz

I am considering upgrading my GPU to a RX570 or 580 if it helps improve my video watching experience.

Your setup is fine for watching videos at the resolution of your monitor or higher. If you plan to play games your graphics card will bottleneck your cpu and you will not be able to play at the native resolution of your monitor at 60hz in most games.

Get a 2400G instead of that 2600 and 1030 combo, if all you're doing is watching Youtube and Netflix.

The 1030 is trash in it's own right.

Edit:  Didn't see you already bought it all, sorry.  Next time may want to ask BEFORE :)

It won't make a difference for video watching but it will make a huge difference in gaming. How much did you pay for the 1030 and can you still return it?

I spent around $85 for the graphic card and I don't think I can return it.

I am quiet interested why you have chosen this graphics card

I found it under $100 and since I don't play games I thought it would be fine.

In retrospect, I forgot about the 2400G and instead tried to find a working GPU as cheap as possible.  I also think the 2400G would have been a better option

Are you still within the return window? Usually 30 days in the US for most places.

I got it from micro center, I skimmed their policy and they said 10 days? Not sure.  Should I really be considering returning it?

What's the harm in asking or even pushing for it?

Unless you care about how it will look like ( I certainly don't ).

Darn it, I threw away the box, now I cannot return it.
But personally I don't need any more "gaming" performance out of my graphics card since I only play League and Hearthstone
