Buy a Ryzen 2700 or 3600 for Gaming and Streaming?

AMD encoding is VCE/VCN/Radeon Encoder.

And as i said. Its for simplicity and for reqognition.

Its to be expected that it takes of some peak performance.

Still doesnt change the fact you can stream perfectly fine with a 6 core.

Im comparing to what ive done with my quadcore and videos and benchmarks.

And 1080p 6k bitrate is more than good for simple gameplay footage.

Nope, doesnt add up. Its an ASIC, its got the same powerbudget. Perhaps memmory bandwidth, but last time i checked the 2060 is fine in that department.

About what?

I think we all know taskmanager is not the go to tool for measuring usage. Also its the ASIC that handles stuff from encoding to decoding. Cudacores arent doing a whole lot while Nvenc is going.

Im reffering to the GPU. Not the CPU. Lack of memmory for the Asic could be an actual issue.

Okay Mr. Know It All.
Im done discussing this with you. You apparently have no testing done in this yourself.
I have 3 PC's all of which i've streamed on. I've seen the quality differences, i have tweaked OBS settings bitrate you name it.
If you dont feel any performance loss in the games your playing then your not rly playing games that requires a lot like the games i've constantly referred to. TD2 on my 3rd rig isnt smooth gameplay when streaming 720p 60fps. The encoder overloads because you dont have enough headroom for it to encode. Taskmanager might not be the best example but it was something that actually fits with the testing i have done.

Ill give you one thing. Does seem like the GPU wants somr overhead while streaming to accomadate the ASIC doing its thing. Im suspecting that is with memmory shortage.

R5 1500x + 1050ti is what ive done testing with. Rest is based of benchmark data and reviews

I have 6gb of GDDR6 im playing and streaming at 1080p Memory shortage is not a thing not even close.

Then its perhaps internal pipeline bottleneck.

Also not memmory shortage as its to little memmory. Im talking memmory bandwidth

Nothing is wrong with my card. You keep trying to say something is wrong with the performance of my build instead of acknowledging you are actually wrong. Stop trying to troubleshoot my PC when i've already done it and gave my information in this thread. image.png.676a44cd64d775fa9166fe8b5bc7f5e6.pngI Hope People are enjoying their popcorn :D

I acknowlaged the fact some overhead is needed. That i didnt know. Im just speculating as to why. An im suspecting memmory bandwidth internally or from memmory.

I am aswell. This did start as you claimed you needed way higher specs than you actually need for good streaming.

I was surpriced that this was the case. I was expecting to be able to stream 1080p 60FPS as NVIDIA claimed was possible without any major performance hits. But thats just simply not the case. I did do a lot of testing but didnt keep any screenshots unfortunately for this case.

You have seen good bitrate comparison between slow, medium and fast right?

They are quite similar for anyone watching.

I have and they are not similar when it comes to fast paced FPS games like CS Go.

From what ive seen they are quite similar.

Though some artifacting is probably there in quick scene changes.

isnt there new encoder selection in obs now?

NVIDIA NVENC H.264 (new)

i always tell others to use this because I dont stream https://www.geforce.com/whats-new/guides/broadcasting-guide

There is and other cards can use it but it is mostly for RTX cards.
But the current discussion is is 6 core enough for good performance in any game while streaming.

I see tons of pixels. since everyone cannot run 6k bitrate this is a problem.
Even 6k bitrate wouldnt be enough for 1080p on Nvenc or fast x264

That GoldenLag dude can't admit his lack of knowledge as he needs to defend his honor for his high post count, it's a common breed in forums. Anyway thanks for your info, I was first considering your setup of r5 3600 + rtx 2060 for gaming + streaming at 1080p60, but looks that will be too underpowered.

I am going to say yes that a 3600 is enough to stream in any game if you have a 2070 or better graphics card. The 5700 or 5700xt should be enough as well. I think the 3700 would be what someone would want if they are going to stream while gaming. As the AMD bios for Zen2 get better it makes the Zen2 CPU's look like the way to go.
