what do you guys think about this build?

 

cpu: amd ryzen 2700x

cpu cooler: masterair ma410m

motherboard:Asus ROG STRIX X470-F Gaming

psu: ANTEC PSU 750W High Current Gamer Gold

Ssd: Samsung SSD 250GB 970 EVO NVMe M.2

Hdd: WD HDD 1.0TB 7200 64MB SATA3 Black 3.5

Gpu:MSI GTX 1660 GAMING X 6G

Ram: Corsair DDR 4 16G (8Gx2) 3000 CL15 VENGEANCE RGB

Case:COUGAR Panzer S Black

Do yourself a favor and wait for AMD Ryzen 2 and (if there is a launch at all) Nvidia Super.

 

Like that you will save money or might be able to go for the better parts right away.

Yeah the 2000 series CPUs and possibly the RTX cards should get a discount, but man, have you seen the projected motherboard prices? Early PCIe 4.0 adopters will have to pay a serious premium for the privilege.

 

Then again I would assume that anything below the new 3800X will comfortably get by with a 400 series chipset

i heard that the rtx models have alot of issues and die after few months of usage/start to drop performance

If you don't care about the new features, you could get a 9900k for cheaper.

A second gen RTx cards are being released. The new zen 2 cpus’ including new Navi cards are being released 7/7.

 

PSU wattage is way overkill. A decent 550w unit like Corsair RMx series or be quiet true power 11 is a better choice imo. 

 

Wait for zen 2 to launch. You’ll be able to get zen+ cpu’s For cheaper and perhaps even a new RTx card if budget permits

Those are over 6 months old, I don't think it should be a problem anymore. That being said if you can find a used 1080Ti for cheaper, you can give it a shot.

I doubt that very much unless you are going with the 3800X and a mid/high end X570 board and aftermarket cooler. The 3700X will be the better value for money and you can run either on a good B450 board anyway and use the stock cooler if need be.
