Some people can't be vaccinated because their immune system is broken,   All the major outbreaks of measles have been traced back to someone who wasn't immunized that could have been.  The people who die in those outbreaks are the children too young for vaccination and those fighting an existing illness that prevents them from being immunized.  Therefore as community (a group of people who benefit from the output of the group as a whole), it is our responsibility to vaccinate ourselves.

I give zero shits about credit. I avoid debt like the plague. I am ashamed of what little debt I owe because I got a student loan. I regret that. I was not as informed as I should have been, that IT degrees basically mean fuck all without certificates.

Well good for you that you have a fat wage so you dont need a loan, but most ppl need it for car and house...  (And even then building up the downpayment takes forever to build  up.  I have a good-ish wage but still needed to move back to my parents to speed up the build-up by not paying for renting but it still takes an awful lot of time.

I haven't had any on this forum, literally only two nuisance PM's and they were from longer time members who decided I needed to be "told" to stop posting (funny how some people react when you present them with fact that's hard to argue).  Needless to say both have been banned and I have been a member for 6 years.

Lol I live paycheck to paycheck my dude. I still refuse to get loans. Sooner or later the debt based system is going to break and have to be permanently replaced with something more sane.

 

A system that treats money owed as money in hand, based on a currency that is inherently worthless by design.... is just pure insanity.

Well a loan isnt evil in itself just because it is what it is. Its kinda a double edged sword, it can be used responsibly. And foolishly as well which going to hurt..... (a lot in many cases)  The problem arises when regulators do not follow closely what a bank is doing for any reason and fail to stop any nefarious ideas..

My biggest problem is that the system is designed entirely to get you to stay in debt. If you check your credit, it goes down, etc.

Every business is designed that way, they are trying to make sure you keep on spending money.... (What do you think why subscription based models getting more and more "popular"?)

Tbh it should be a crime for someone with cancer to die because people refuse to take MMR that has no side effects, beyond even more edge cases. Cancer is more common than side effects from MMR and those tend to be side effects for most vaccines not MMR itself.

 

Measles actually is an extremely serious illness and many people are not vaccinated properly, got the first one too soon or missed a booster. Your life can be ruined by it, blindness or brain damage. We don't think about measles that seriously anymore because you know... vaccines... The thing that allows us to not have to care about said diseases. I can't stop a car hitting and killing me but I can stop measles killing me, we get very few choices in what can and cannot kill us so why people would opt out is beyond me.

Credit score is much less important, based on less information, or don't even exist, in many European countries.

 

From my understanding, in my country, we do have it, but it's not based on credit card usage("consumtion loan") almost at all. But your salary (both how much and how stable it is), how you pay back house loan for example, and payment remarks (including not paying "consumption loan" on time) does.

That's just a regular credit score as in how capable you are financially (not even in terms of worth, just if you're regularly employed, if you're paying back stuff on time, how often you are into negative balance, how often your credit cards get denied etc). Basically it roughly tells your financial management. If you're good with managing your money and you're always on time, it's more likely you'll get a loan and at a larger sum.

 

Social credit score is another thing (pay attention to "social" in the front). It has very little to do with money though money plays part in it too. I mean, you can be rich, but a douchebag, your social score will be low...

I already hate the credit system with a burning passion cause it makes no God damn sense to borrow money when you have it available. Those "Rewards" always just do happen to expire or devalue right as your about to use em, and being a good person and checking your credit score can lower it.

Anyone remember when one of the big 3 was hacked and leaked a bunch of people's info?

I could actually see hoards of people in the U.S of A and Canada go to the Netherlands for work and a better life. They speak English there. They have some of the lowest unemployment. Pot is legal. And credit scores and drug tests are not a thing.

In US. Multiple of those things does not affect it in my country. And some other European countries don't even have it at all.
