Suspected PSU fault - OCCT error

Liborio

Hi all,

As the title suggests, an error appeared as i was running a PSU stress test in OCCT but it doesnt advise what the error is?

Background:

Random freezes (once a month or so) thus the hardware testing. The PSU test is the only one that has come back with anything at all, but doesnt state the actual issue, just that there is an error.

Any suggestions/help?

Thank you.

@Liborio

just had a closer look at that graph, I expect that error to be caused by this dip in power consumption momentarily.

not entirely sure what caused that tho ?

Very interesting observation. Desperate need of ideas haha :/ Should i just be replacing the PSU? Perhaps all the cabling along with it? Any ideas?

Power supplies can't cause freezes, so there's nothing here that even slightly suggests a power supply problem.

I've tried 2 SSd's with fresh installs of windows 10

All drivers up to date

Stress tested all hardware (except MOBO because how would i even do that)

Not sure what else now......
