whats a solid 6XX amp & dac combo?

Hello, hope you are having a good day, just looking for suggestions on AMP & DAC combos for my Sennheiser 6XX, been looking at the JDS Labs ATOM AMP and the topping d30 DAC, there seems to be a lot of recommendations on these two around the internet but I don't know if I should go for them or not. budget not more than $100 for each. thanks.

the atom is an excelent amp and the dac is one of the best measuring amps definitely the cleanest setup for under $200.

those seem to be everybody's go to DAC and AMP combo but are they worth the fuss? or there are better options with the same price?

I wish I could say I've compared these to other DAC's and AMP's but I can't. I was in the same boat, I purchased the Sennheiser HD650's and wanted to squeeze more out of what they were capable of, and this combo did the trick. Maybe in a few years I'll look into bigger and badder equipment but I can't justify that at the moment.

I'm using the SMSL M6 with my HD6xx's. I've not compared them to anything else on the market but they drive the headphones well enough for me not to know any better.

I would stay away from a  schiit stack. the magni has its caveats and doesnt sound as good as it's similarly priced competetitors such as a gesheli labs stack, the jds labs atom and the monoprice liquid spark. reason why I dont have magni is it doesnt sound as good and it has this weird caveat with sounding more compressed than the rest. for dacs the modi is fine but if you want to save some money the d10 is really good and so is the sdac, the d30 is also really good all play around or under the $100 mark. but to me where the 6xx really shine is when plugged ino a tube amp, you can get a little dot mk2, the dark vaoice or if your on a budget a loxjie p20 is really good bu only sound good when plugged in to the balanced output. you you would want to get a balanced cable or adapter to work with your current cable.
