Best GPU for current build

Stitch_MJ

Hey guys, I have made an oopsie when it came to building a computer. So I have just built a PC however I didn’t realize that I need a GPU for graphics (rookie mistake).

My current build is:

CPU:AMD 1500X

MoBo: ASRock AM4 B450M Pro4 MicroATX

RAM: 8GB DDR4 3000mhz

PSU: CX450

Case: CoolerMaster Q300L

I’m looking to find the cheapest GPU/best GPU that can work with this MoBo.

That sucks! You should've gotten an APU but since you already have a cpu that isn't really an option. You could maybe get like a gt1030 if you really don't care about performance, but if you want to get a little better performance you could maybe get a used 1050?

If it's for gaming, the GPU is incredibly important, so buy something like a RX 570 in that case.

If you only want video output and do not need the GPU, a GT 210/710 is available for less than 30$ typically

Ryzen 7 3700X / 16GB RAM / Optane SSD / GTX 1650 / Solus Linux

Yeah, I didn't realize that I needed the GPU till after I was trying to run it, I thought I messed up with the whole build and thought I damaged the CPU, but it was just the GPU I needed. Thanks for the recommendation. I am just looking to get some casual gaming in, but nothing to run Triple A games or  do much besides getting a video feed

Wouldn't the MoBo need to be compatible with the GPU or just ANY PCIe GPU card?

Not for any serious gaming, if anything, running a game and 720p 60fps at best, going to be using this just as a recording PC for I have a gaming one already up and running

Your motherboard is current, so any graphics card will work in the PCIe 3.0 slot.  Graphics cards really haven't been able to fully utilize the 3.0 slots, since they're quite fast and not really necessary for them, but they're good for extendin memory, like w/additional M.2 slots and such for increased speeds; it'll be even better for extra memory w/the PCIe 4.0 release comin out.

Any current and older card will work, since they're also backwards compatible (PCIe 2.0, etc).

Primary

OS:        Windows 10 - Professional (64-bit)

CPU:      i9-10900k 3.7-5.3GHz (10th gen)

PSU:       EVGA 1000w G2, 80+ Gold (modular)

If it's a separate i.e. streaming PC, then a GT 210 will probably work just fine; just be sure to use the CPU for rendering/etc
