i7 8700 + RTX 2070 system will need about 300-350w max. 550w will be plenty.

Heaps mate. 550w is plenty.

Be quiet Pure power 11. Fits within your budget and decent enough.

still advise spending those extra £5 for a higher quality psu.

It'd be okay, but the RMx suggested earlier would be better. Probably a bunch of other stuff around the same price that would be a lot better as well, so I wouldn't recommend the EVGA B3.

This Pure Power 11 is cheaper and better than the EVGA B3

@Spotty and @Stormseeker9 would this power supply work https://www.amazon.co.uk/BEQUIET-BN298-Semi-Modular-Bearing-Supply/dp/B07JK4DPJC/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=pure+power+11+600w&qid=1560165118&s=computers&sr=1-1 its the one you recommended but would a semi modular work? I thought It had to be a fully modular PSU for the 6-8 pin connectors for the RTX 2070. If you could answer soon as possible I will buy it np

Also doesn't the RTX 2070 MSI Armor overlock itself with a feature of Nvidas from 1400 to 1620 if so will it still be man enough to run it.

@Stormseeker9 ah thanks m8. But would a Semi modular psu work with a 2070? again this is the link https://www.amazon.co.uk/BEQUIET-BN298-Semi-Modular-Bearing-Supply/dp/B07JK4DPJC/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=pure+power+11+600w&qid=1560165118&s=computers&sr=1-1

And to my question about it auto overclocking as I've heard it does would it matter to the psu?

No... Doesn't need to be modular at all. Even PSUs with fixed cables should come with PCIe cables for the graphics card.

Amazon is annoying to browse for PSUs because they rarely list the product specifications properly for items; don't show information like what connectors it has. Means you have to search for it or look it up on the manufacturers website to find out what it has. What you're looking for are "6+2 PCIe" connectors to supply power for the graphics card. Most RTX2070 will require 8pin+6pin so you will require a PSU that has at least 2x 6+2pin PCIe connectors - which most decent PSUs have.

Here's the manufacturers website for the Pure Power 11 which has information on the models and you will be able to find their cable count information there. Just go to the Technical Data page and there's a photo there with the cables on it. https://www.bequiet.com/en/powersupply/pure-power-11/1532

I'd save the 10 pounds and go the 500w CM (Semi-Modular) version for 65 pounds. Or if you aren't fussed by semi modular cables you can get the 500w and 600w non-modular versions for 60 pounds.

Spend the extra £5. You don’t need full modular. The psu’s @Spotty and I have mentioned will all

work

as to the auto overclocking, think it’s called nvidia boost 3.0 and it basically overclocked itself if there is thermal headroom. Not much to do with the psu as such, but a shitty quality psu is never good for any system

Amazon must have wrong information (I did say earlier it was horrible for product specs!) The Corsair TX550M has 2x 6+2pin PCIe connectors coming off of a single modular cable. So it's one cable that splits off in to two connectors.

Edit: errhhh.... Corsair website is actually showing that the TX550M has 4x PCIe connectors. Wut?

Yeah, it'll work. Has all the cables you need, and double the wattage you really need (hence why I'd go the 500w CM instead and save 10 pounds).

Here's the cables that come with the BQ Pure Power 11 CM 600w.
