F@H and BOINC Badge Request Thread [Last Update: 2024-MAR-21]

Message added by TVwazhere

Note that for F@H and BOINC, the points that you've earned must be for the LTT team. For example: If you have 20 million points for the default F@H team and 5 million points for LTT, we cannot award you a Bronze Contributor badge. Additionally, badges supersede each other meaning when you hit 25 million points, your Contributor Badge becomes a Bronze Badge, you only get one and they do not stack on your profile. Badges for different disciplines such as Folding, BOINC, and Event participations will show your highest rank in each category.

Posts requesting badges will be hidden when the badge is assigned. Check your profile to see if you have the badge before reposting.

Floatplane badges have been discontinued, as the Floatplane site is moving to https://www.floatplane.com

Participating in each event gives you the badges in sequence. Participating in a single event gets you the Folding Event Newbie, Participating in 3 gets you the Fanatic, and Participating in five gets you the Fanatic. Currently LTT folding Month 2019 is the second official Folding event held, so it's impossible for anyone currently to have the Veteran. The Event founding badges are for those who were at the very first Folding Event in November 2018.

Damn, now it looks like I've missed two events. I just found the google doc for the folding week in march 2018 :D The difference in number of participants then vs the upcoming event is massive... over 100x.

Thank you all for the information. I'll be back at the end of the event to get my badges :D

Also, I was a part of last year's folding event but never got a badge. Is there anything I can do about that? I can link the forum posts I made last year if that helps.

Only if you were signed up for the event and met the minimum requirement. If you where, they would had you on their list and you should got your badge automatically, so my guess is you weren't signed up for the event.

I did sign up for the event though... and I folded all month and as far as I know I met the requirements...

@azmariadei Then you should get a badge. They must have missed you for some reason.

Though, there are two sign-ups, only the one for the folding month give you the badge, the sign up for the LTT Giveaway doesn't.

For the sake of ITNOS I award you a badge(r)

also I don't have an event badge? shouldn't I get one of those too?

Just another 4 mil and you can get the silver badge too!

The F@H Event badge will be handed out at the end of the event (so they can check the eligibility of everyone involved). The people who have such a badge already got it in last year's event.

This is the fourth time I've discussed with you over the last 10 months or so. You were not signed up for the folding month 2018, I've checked for you.

The badges for Folding month are handled completely closed cycle, so, if you are legitimately entitled to a badge, it would have already been awarded.

I'm sorry to break this news again, but please, don't let this stop you from participating in future events.

Happy folding.

Forum Event badges are awarded separately from this thread. They are not automatically applied however, so I would not expect to see Forum Event badges popping up soon.

It does, but fun fact if you already have a badge, it will act as a hyper link to either your XOC page or stats.folding.org link (depending on which one the user provides) :)

Hi @Malte I participated in the event and got the event badge.
Just following up regarding what I read as being general F@H home badges for total WU / Points produced anytime to date as part of the LTT team.
Figured these are not tied to events as some of these badges are for 100, 500 and 1 Billion points which would be pretty hard to hit in a month. ;)

Ya, there are general folding badges for total points. A mod should get you the badge you need sometime soon.

Each badge replaces the lower level before it, so you should get just the gold badge (note how I have just a silver badge).
