Cooler compatibility

Faisal A

Will this CPU cooler work with an am2 mobo ? All of the listings only show intel compatibility but I like this design and cant find anything that fits and AMD mobo. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RGB-Cooling-Fan-For-Intel-LGA-1155-1151-1150-1366-Gaming-CPU-Computer-Cooler-PC/372657511005

Can I use an AM2 cooler on a FM2 motherboard ? Motherboard is an MSI A55M-E33 with an A4-7300 CPU.

Also, can I use an Intel cooler on the mobo ? Thanks for the help

So if you are talking about "Box coolers" or the coolers that come included with the CPU, most AMD Box coolers are interchangeable from FM1 to AM3+ (If I remember correctly).

If you're asking about aftermarket coolers, you have to check that specific cooler to see if it is compatible with your motherboard. (So check for FM2 compatibility).

Hope this helps. If not, feel free to ask more questions. :D

@ki8aras I have heard AM2 AM3 and AM4 all share the same mounting adapter

Stock do. If you are using cooler with backplate, those are different.

If you're mainly looking for the rgb lighting, the Juno-X RGB would be a decent alternative: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/KCL48d/raijintek-juno-x-rgb-450-cfm-cpu-cooler-0r100071
