I mean the GTX 1080 Ti is on the same tier as the RTX 2080 and Radeon 7, it still is up-to-date hardware in every way and it's production already ceased a couple months ago... it doesn't really have any reason to price drop aside the "second hand status".

It be dumb to buy it new for that price. You can get a RTX2080 or radeon VII for less money.

 

they are out of production the 1080’s - so basically market demand will determine price

Well the pricing here is lower,  It's variable because the card is not being produced but the used price is $486.38
