It's by SnapOn Tools. They make insanely expensive but quality tools (still too expensive for my liking). Good luck finding one, as the orange one he has is an old model & is not in production any more.

The style of his screwdriver is called a ratchet screwdriver. I use one of these by Stanley personally. It was about 1/10th the price of the one Linus uses from Snap On.

All good mate. As much as I would love a bunch of tools from Snap On, at their price point I feel you're paying for the name, and quality of the tool stopped a lot of dollars ago.

Could somebody pitch this as a merch item???

with people keep asking you could assume there is a market.

Can't see a $60 USD screwdriver selling particularly fast with an audience that is made up of under 25's, and a lot are under 18..

As this is the new version of his screwdriver. I personally wouldn't pay close to 100 AUD for one of these when, the likes of Stanley, Kincrome, Milwaukee or Irwin all do the same thing for like a quarter the price ..

In the OP's defense -- I have never seen this mentioned or asked.

And great googly moogly that is a ridiculous price for a screwdriver.  A version I bought from Lowe's (their Kobalt brand) wasn't anything close in price and it's been great.  It doesn't have interchangeable bits, however.

I really like this Kobalt double-drive ratcheting screwdriver. It's magnetic enough to hold the bit to the driver, but not strong enough to hold screws to the bit... so I use a bit magnetizer to resolve that issue. The "double-drive" action is really neat though; it activates when you hold the knurled portion of the handle, which torques the driver in the selected direction whenever you twist the handle in ANY direction. Check the video in the top-most review (mine) for a demonstration of the double-drive action.

I have been using the snap-on one Linus uses for over a decade, it’s a great tool but snap on certainly isn’t in everyone’s budget nor should it be. I use mine in a professional setting so it’s easier to justify.

Thanks for asking...it was on my to do list eventually :)

What I'd really like is to find a ratcheting one that's that size handle, but will handle the smaller size bits  that came in my clone ifixit kit.
