Lapaelo 27" 4K 144hz IPS HDR Monitor for under $600 US

jimaha

Currently living in China and was looking at upgrading my monitor for work (CAD) for when I return home to the UK.  Found this beast on TaoBao for only 3999 yuans (£456, $580US, 520EU, 778CA)

What do you guys  think?

Has anybody got experience with his brand? or even heard of them?     For example how bad is 88.9% Adobe RGB coverage to the untrained eye?

Since I'm in China it's not such a big deal to return it if it does turn out to be a POS

Thanks for any advice

Since my RTX 2080 tis can't do 4k 144hz even if they did 100hz they would be a good deal if they are genuine.

Also keep in mind that even the $2000 ASUS and Acer monitors can't do 144hz at 10 bit color so they are basically 120hz monitors that can be overclocked to 144hz.

My 2080 Ti’s can easily do 4K 144 in many games.

And single GPU games can do around 100.

Ok.

But the games I play can't.

Right now I am playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider. With the settings I like I average 77fps in the bench at 4k. What would be surprising to most is that with ray tracing on I get 63fps average.

The game before that was Assassin's Creed Odyssey and I basically played it on ultra at 61fps average on the benchmark. I also played Assassin's Creed Origins with about the same result.

Then there was Metro Exodus. The performance was so bad with and without ray tracing at 4k that I play it on my 3840 X 1600 ultra wide rig and get 77fps average with ray tracing on.

If I load up Fortnite I am sure that I could get 144fps. I also can on older games but I judge my computers performance on currant single person open world  AAA games.

Maybe I turn up the detail more than I should but to me that is the point of having a 2080 ti.

  • 2 weeks later...

Did you ever decide to get one of these??

I'm finishing up my second build and I have a contact in China that hasn't steered me wrong highly recommended these monitors.

He was able to track down some pretty tough items and has been very reliable so I have no reason to doubt.

Was told the panel is the same the PG27UQ uses in their monitor.

For the price I thought why not.

I got two of them and I haven't been able to push them because I don't have anything really test them on.

Hoping to finish my build this weekend to give it a go.
