Is 3200mhz c16 better or worse than 3000mhz c15

Looking at ram options right now. Currently looking at two different sticks with the same price but one is 3200mhz c16 and one is 3000mhz c15. Which is better?

Effective latency may be lower on the c15 set, but your bandwidth capacity will be higher on the 3200mhz set. Go for that.

If you're running Ryzen then there is a strong chance that your system will change a cas latency of 15 to 16 so that 3000MHz will run CL 16 and not 15.  So with that said -- go with the 3200CL16.  Ryzen doesn't like odd cas latencies so the 3000MHz Ryzen RAM kits are 3000CL16 and not the 3000CL15 you're looking.

any info on this

its better off to increase latency to CL16 even for 3000/cl 15 kit?

where would you see the difference?

Ryzen doesn't like odd cas latency and will automatically change it if it isn't 100% stable and on these 3000MHz kits they timing will very frequently be changed to 16 from 15 by the system.  And you'd only see the difference in benchmarks.  You'll never notice them without something specifically quantifying performance.  Also it's never better to increase cas latency, but you may be forced to if stability is a problem.
