CandyJam aims to make fun of trademarking the word candy
http://itch.io/jam/candyjam
- because trademarking common words is ridiculous and because it gives us an occasion to make another gamejam :D
- Make a game involving candies

- scamper ghost wasn’t the most original of games, but it still had its qualities, pac-avoid is just brutal
- king told an otherwise moral indie dev that there was a signed contract that the devs of “scamper ghost” signed and ditched at the last moment, this drove them to side with king and copy the game
- the scamper ghost guys arn’t mad at epic shadow, the guys that copied the game… they’re mad at King for pushing them to die so and lying about the contract and now trying to trademark “candy”

I have a question regarding the kaveri APUs. I'm more of an average gamer with not so much money at my disposal and I used to buy AMD CPUs because of that (still using a Phenom II X4 965) because it was good gaming performance at a low price compared to intel. Will the upcoming AMD APUs be in this price to performance sweetspot again like their old CPUs used to be so that it'll be a good bargain for the average gamer or does it just feature more stuff which will only increase performance in certain professional applications but still be way behind intel when it comes to raw gaming performance?

CPU: AMD R5 5600x | Mainboard: MSI MAG B550m Mortar Wifi | RAM: 32GB Crucial Ballistix 3200 Rev E | GPU: MSI RTX 2070 Armor | Case: Xigmatek Aquila | PSU: Corsair RM650i | SSDs: Crucial BX300 120GB | Samsung 840 EVO 120GB | Crucial m500 120GB | HDDs: 2x Seagate Barracuda 4TB | CPU Cooler: Scythe Fuma 2 | Casefans: Bitfenix Spectre LED red 200mm (Intake), Bequiet Pure Wings 2 140mm (Exhaust) | OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit

You should direct this to a thread but base on current pricing we can only speculate that it will be good based on the performance / price of current gen APU's. Linus has a video build guide of a budget APU build on his channel also.

I know, I watch his videos regularly. And the question came up because they talked about the Kaveri and its upcoming features in this WAN show so I thought I'd post it here.

Edit: I'll rephrase the question. I guess it's more a question about the direction in which AMD is going in the future with its APUs - with all its new tech which will drive the price up but not necessarily increase performance on all levels, will it be still interesting to the average to hardcore PC gamer? From what Linus and Luke talked about it doesn't look that way. So what do you guys think?

I'd move to Korea, Korean women are gorgeous! Also the weather and it has lots of ocean. (But seriously I don't know enough about the country to make an educated judgement, I'll be researching it though!)

Microsoft Paying YouTubers for Mentions:  I don't care I'm so biased all I hear is "Kaveri" at this point.

Microsoft offering overseas Data Storage: Surprised this hasn't happened sooner and more.

Just wanted to comment on the Microsoft paying people thing, and where I disagree with you a bit.

The issue I have with the Microsoft thing, is when I listen to someone on Youtube, I expect it to be either unbiased, or known that there is a bias because they are sponsored. I expect you to say nothing but good things about Squarespace because they are paying you. However if I find an un-sponsored youtube review on Squarespace, I expect it to be the honest unfiltered opinion from that person.

Your roll is to let me know they exist, and what they do. It's the roll of someone not paid by them to tell me there worth. Those are very different things. Microsoft wants to change that balance, by not letting me know they are paying people, so I apply more weight to the the review with respect to worth then I should.

That's the reason it's bad.

Dear Linus,

I like your show a lot.
Regarding STEAM In Home Streaming, I have a plan which will never become true but it will be awesome.

"PS3 or Console as Streaming Client"

It would be awesome if I can install a PS3 or other 'powerful console' app that can work as a Streaming Client in my living room.

My PC or Steam Machine will work as a streaming server.
My PS3 will work as a streaming client.
I will use a wireless/usb mouse and keyboard with the PS3 to play.

I think PS3 or XBOX is good enough to be a streaming client.

What do you think?

PC enthusiast since MS DOS 5!

Next time be more specific Linus, unless you want something that isn't quality work.
