How to backup AD directory server to another new server

Hi~,

Recently we want to upgrade old AD server which in running in OS windows server 2008 R2.

We want to upgrade & move old data from old AD server to new server (same running windows server 2008 R2).

But I dont know how I can do the backup, pls help advise me which method best to do this backup & migrate to new server ya.

dont raise the functional level until you've demoted the 2008 R2 server.
