where to buy minecraft

Does anyone where to buy minecraft and also do you need a mojang account or is it using a Microsoft account now. Sorry if this in the wrong thread not sure if the gaming one would have been better? Thanks

Not sure if you need a Mojang account nowadays, I have not done anything with Minecraft in years.
