Win 10 and fan speed (huhwhut)

Good day folks. so after a lot of problems and even more frustration i changed my OS from win 7 to win 10 ( i know i'm a little late to the party )

now so far i haven't ran into to many troubles apart from a lot of missing drivers etc for my MOBO but that's besides the point..

my fan's are slouching like crazy. i've tried to set them in bios and i have also  tried running AI SUITE II and anything under 90% fan speed seems to be more like 10%. my cpu is heating up ( not overheating mind you)  and the profiles aren't working.

does anyone have any clue what i could do apart from just getting a dedicated fan speed controller ?

i have a RIVe board

Thanks

-NT

Do you have bitdefender?

It doesn't like Ai Suite.

The bios usually has priority.

If you set the fan to be always 100% in it, does it do it just in the bios or not at all?

i can set it to 100 both in bios and the app and it works, it blasts the fans on full and it sounds like a jet plane but if i try to dial it down to 50-60% wich is where i was at in win 7 with a stable 30-40C. i get around 50c ( idle) and all the way up to 70-80% that's when they start to actually ramp up if that makes sense

Huh. That's really strange.

If you leave it in the bios and don't boot into windows, does it still do this?

nope then its fine. i tried that, disabled the boot drives and just let it hang around in post and bios ( kinda impossible to test a profile that way ) but it works until i boot into windows then it goes back to being off by 60% (its almost like it has a offset thats totally broken) . i tried to post with a togo OS i have and it works fine with just the bios settings so i'm lost. i found a NXZT controller but jebus 30 dollarinos seems insane for something that old and "useless" by today's standards
