Does your GPU have a VGA out?

If not, your going to be looking at an active converter, or replacing the monitor.

Yeah I think I answered my own question because my gpu only has one hdmi... but just to be safe if I put it in my motherboards hdmi slot will it work with my hdmi already in my gpu’s HDMI slot
