GPU usage drops to 0%

lapurema

Hello folks,

I've bought a laptop few month ago and I've got this problem ever since. All of my games (doesn't matter older/newer) stutter like hell. The gpu suddenly drops to 0% usage for few seconds and the sounds cracks like getting stuck. This only happens when playing games, never ever doing other stuff. It runs flawless while I do benchmark tests for example. I have tried everything:

OS reinstall

DDU in safe mode, older drivers also

Memory tests - no error

I use throttlestop - 150 UV and msi afterburner for a bit of overclock. Without UV and overclock, the problem persists.

I've read about nvidia mizer and tried so change the registries with no success.

Tried every possible settings with nvidia inspector, no luck.

Triee every game settings /resolutions, didn't work.

Temps are more than OK, cpu hitting a max of 80 c in games and gpu 65 c.

At this point I don't know what to do anymore and I refuse to let it go because I cannot enjoy a smooth experience even though my specs aren't top notch. I don't mind playing metro exodus for example on high and getting dips into the 40s as long as it doesn't fucking stutter like hell, or in  any other game.

Any advice is welcomed. Thank you

Specs

i5 8300h

gtx 1050 ti

1050Ti is more a low-medium graphic card imo.

so no matter what graphical settings you apply the same issue persists ?

Lenovo y530 is the unit.

And yes, no matter the settings, the problem persists. I tried every combination in games settings.

I've read a lot if forums about this issue, no-one knows what it is about.
