Acer XB241H issues

So I just got this monitor and I think I got a bad one out of the box. Whenever I scroll on webpages, the text becomes more bold while scrolling. Also there are these black streaks in the screen itself. I don't think this should be that way. It's not visible in brightly lit scenes but it's really annoying on darker scenes. I also get some weird ghosting on some games when moving back and forth really fast. My old Acer GD235hz I had did not have these issues. Unfortunately that monitor crapped out this week and the XB241H is not winning me over as it's replacement.

Any suggestions on a new monitor? I like shooter games mostly, Apex, BF, etc. Trying to keep it under $500 if possible. Thanks!
