Hey everyone.

So i have the i7 9700k which runs at 4.9 Ghz. I wanted to know can i simply just change the multiplier to 50 for all cores and leave the voltage to auto plus everything else.

Auto voltage will apply more than you will need, usually resulting in hotter temps. If you do leave it at auto voltage, make sure you use software to evaluate the voltage and temps in a stress test to make sure it's suitable

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k (won) - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Kill Trident Z RGB - Force MP500 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - The venerated Hyper 212 Evo (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G2 650W - Black and green theme, Razer branwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

Linux Proliant ML150 G6:

Xeon X5560 - 24GB ECC DDR3 - Asus DirectCU GTX 760 - old Seagate 1.5TB HDD - Dark moded Ubuntu (and Win7, cuz why not)

Thank you. So if i want to change voltage. What is a good base to start for just 50 to 51ghz?

Depends on your performance target, 4.6GHz is the all core turbo so 5.0 all cores is a decent step up, and if it suits your needs then it's a good point to stay at.

You can probably try around 1.22 volts and see from there

I have the same CPU.

I just turn on Turbo Boost and Multi Core Enchantment.

4.9Ghz on all cores, the voltage never went above 1.27v ich 5 months now!

That is a impressive voltage for that OC.

On an 8700k, it is, but a 9700k wouldn't need that much usually.

1.27v should be like a 5.1-5.2GHz OC on a 9700K. For 4.9GHz should be about 1.12-1.14v.

End of the day still depends on silicon lottery
