My motherboard won't output video!! Help!!

MrMeowstache03

So, I just installed a new graphics card in my system, and after doing so I can only get video output from the card. I really need to output to a monitor with VGA from my motherboard and my graphics card doesn't have VGA, it only has HDMI, DVI, and couple of display ports. I have no idea why it won't work, any help would be greatly appreciated.

But is there something I can do to fix it? I mean if an adapter is what I need I'll happily get one

An adapter should work perfectly. You will just need to connect it to your GPU and not your motherboard

What card do you have? Not all cards support VGA adapting these days. If it’s DVI-D only then you’ll need to figure something else as a solution.

If you have DisplayPort that can be adapted to VGA instead.

My real advice here is to check compatibility before you buy.

Out of the few models I just checked, they cannot be adapted. They are true DVI-D and lack the necessary analog pins.

I definitely recommend converting from DisplayPort to VGA if VGA is necessary. Adapters can be bad pretty inexpensive it on Amazon.
