Oppo releases midrange phone which looks a lot like the OP7 pro

Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has announced the Realme X, a smartphone with pop-up camera and OLED screen. The device is the most expensive and most luxurious phone so far under the Realme brand of cheap smartphones. According to the specs, the Realme X has a 2340x1080 6.53" oled screen, a snapdragon 710 comes with 4, 6 or 8 GB of lpddr4x RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB of ufs 2.1 storage.OnePlus already uses ufs 3.0 storage in the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro, but this is probably too expensive for a midrange phone.

The camera setup is the same as the OnePlus 7. The pop-up camera is a Sony IMX471 with 1.0 micron large pixels and a maximum resolution of 25 megapixels. At the back is a Sony IMX586, a 48-megapixel sensor with quad-bayer layout, assisted by a second camera that serves as a depth sensor. In contrast to the OnePlus telephones, the Realme X does have a 3.5 mm connection (YES!).

The phone initially only comes in China, but Engadget reports that it will later also be available in Europe. The cheapest 4/64GB option costs 1499 yuan, around 195 euros. The most expensive version is around 233 euros.

Is realme slowly becoming the replacement for OnePlus? or is this just another phone release? share your thoughts

No, it’s just that that’s what these Chinese brands do. They steal designs and patents and just make their own because their government protects them.

you know it's the same company, right?

Has everyone seen that gif of the revolution statue?  If not, here:

Spoiler

Animated+Pawel+Kuczynski+%234.gif

I feel like phone companies are sort of in a similar situation at the moment.  New company comes out, releases a phone with great features and value for a low price, everyone buys it, the company grows and starts raising prices, eventually it becomes the overpriced goliath it once fought against, newer smaller companies with better value start get more sales instead, and they grow in popularity as the old brand shrinks.  Rinse and repeat.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

It'd be the perfect phone for me if it was an Android One phone.

Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.9 Ghz  | Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3 |  PaliT GTX 1050Ti  |  8gb Kingston HyperX Fury @ 2933 Mhz  |  Corsair CX550m  |  1 TB WD Blue HDD

Inside some old case I found lying around.
