Recommended Posts

Posted · Original PosterOP

I installed a os without formating my hdd.. so a folder which was in it got corrupted and couldn't get deleted. I tried different method like cmd, winrar the tips which are given in utube. But still everything sucks. So is there any possibility to delete it.. it contains nothing inside.. 0kb but still its in my pc.

Why didn't you just format the drive when you were installing a brand new OS on it? If the indexing is broken there might not be a way around.

How and why you did not format the drive,,,,

That is not the way to be done, expect more issues

If you run CMD as an administrator, you should definitely be able to delete the folder.  You may also be able to delete it if you boot Windows in safe boot.  And like the others have said, you will probably be better off formatting and installing the OS again.

As the other said, format the HD during Windows install, best way is to delete all the partitions.
