Picking up a new phone

Recommended Posts

I am in the situation of looking at new phones. My current one (Galaxy S5), has held up for a quite a while now, could keep it for longer but its slow af, has battery drain issues and it's the 16gb version. I'm currently looking at either a Galaxy S10 or OnePlus 7 Pro. There is only a 50 dollar difference (which is feasible), with the S10 being the more expensive one. Atm i'm leaning more towards the Oneplus, with all the praise it has gotten at reveal, but i'm honestly not quite sure. What are your thoughts on this?

I'd only really go for the S10 under two conditions: if you really want its camera quality, or you want its aftermarket support (since it's Samsung, help is easy to get).  Outside of that, the OnePlus 7 Pro appears to be a better all-around phone, especially if you value responsiveness and OS update commitments.
